I’m evolving in to some new kind of art. Watercolors. I have never liked it, and now suddenly I do! It’s nothing like oil, but I really like it, way more then acrylics.
When I paint with acrylics I think to much about what’s better with oil, but with water colors well that’s a whole other story. Soon I will sell these babies too, so.keep your eyes open.
In Church today we had a youth day with the intention of growing in creative gifts. I’m honored to be part of the leadership this day. I’ve got the group who wanted to paint with acrylics. All of you who are following my vlog know that oil and drawings is what I usually do, but I so want to ‘ve better in acrylics also so it was really a challenge with a lot of googling to be able to teach it and even to paint it for myself, but I can stand up to say and say that I have grown as an artist. I’ve done a really really ugly painting that I worked with for hours. And then I’ve made a beautiful one.
I’ve been training myself this weekend. I put on croqui café on youtube and learn a bit more about proportion. I’ve done a few good paintings with women’s bodies but I really have to go back and learn the first steps. A paper and a pen and the anatomy of the body so that I can be a lot better. It’s a little bit weird looking at naked bodies one might think, but with clothes you can’t learn properly with all the shadows, muscles and proportions.
You have 1-10 minutes for every picture and then the next one pop up, and the next and the next so it’s really hard but so much fun!
A few years ago my parents celebrated 30 years as married. So I made them this artpiece for the celebration. Sure it’s a lot of details that isn’t perfect, I didn’t have much time so I made it with markers which I’m not used to. But anyhow, I really like the feeling of unity in the pictures which was what I wanted to express. So I decided to share it with you here on the blog.
I really haven’t had any time to do oil paintings for way to long, since I’m trying to get my driver licence finally, and my hands are in great need of creativity. So today I played. I found my mom’s old oil pastels and had some creativity time with my daughter. I really haven’t used this medium before but after just one try I’m sure to do it again.
Not really anything I proudly publish here on my blog, but anyhow, this is what a few minutes with some old oil pastels became. I need to buy me some more colors, I didn’t even have white, but it sure was great to use my hands.
I’ve finally decided for sure, I will sell my art if someone will by it. I think I will take 5000 SEK per piece. If it doesn’t go for that, I’ll keep them myself.
So soon, I will change some on artbymali I will keep the blog and see if I can make an extra page to it where I can put my art out.
My plan is to put it all together by the end of this year. So keep your eyes open. I just have one of each art piece.
